Who we are

PermitPub is a brand of Top Rank Commerce, LLC, located at 3529 Old Conejo Road, Suite 115, Newbury Park, California 91320. You can contact us at support@toprankcommerce.com or (805) 995-9942. Support replies from the Top Rank Commerce desk.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use PermitPub, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, company, phone number, password hash, account status, and login/session data.
  • Sales and market information: what you sell, markets you request, lead types you choose, saved searches, selected records, lead pack selections, exports, Lead Desk updates, and map preferences.
  • Payment and subscription information: Stripe customer IDs, checkout sessions, subscriptions, invoices, payment status, plan names, purchased markets, and related transaction records. Stripe handles full payment card details.
  • Affiliate information: affiliate applications, referral codes, referral links, attribution cookies or IDs, referred customer status, approved commissions, and payout records.
  • Support and form information: waitlist entries, market requests, support messages, email replies, and other information you send us.
  • Lead inventory and product usage information: pages visited, searches run, filters used, markets viewed, records selected, downloads requested, map interactions, saved-lead actions, and purchase attempts.
  • AI search inputs: plain-English prompts you type into PermitPub AI so we can translate them into source-backed lead filters and results.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, referring pages, timestamps, cookies, log files, security events, and approximate location signals from your browser, IP address, or security/performance services.

Public-record sales signal data

PermitPub collects, normalizes, enriches, and organizes public-record and source-grounded business signals. That may include building permits, planning cases, certificates of occupancy, business licenses, registrations, sales-tax or seller permits, municipal buying signals, public source links, parcel or address data, company names, applicant names, contractor names, owner names, contact fields, phone numbers, emails, valuation fields, dates, categories, and source descriptions when those fields are available from public records, public-facing sources, licensed vendors, or customer-approved workflows.

We use this data to create business-to-business lead inventory, search results, CSV exports, route maps, Lead Desk records, market counts, sample lead views, and custom feeds. Public pages may show market-level summaries, counts, sample lead categories, valuation bands, and anonymized or illustrative examples. Exact addresses, source links, contact fields, exports, selected-record files, and member map details are intended to remain available only through member access or purchase flows.

How the lead product may be used

PermitPub is designed for business users doing lawful sales, marketing, routing, prospecting, market research, and account planning. It is not a consumer report and should not be used to determine a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, tenancy, education, government benefits, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar screening laws. Customers are responsible for their own outreach compliance, including do-not-call, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, privacy, licensing, solicitation, and industry-specific rules.

How we use information

  • Provide, secure, and improve PermitPub accounts, memberships, lead packs, subscriptions, exports, route maps, Lead Desk, custom feeds, and AI search.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, taxes, fraud checks, and account access.
  • Respond to support requests, market requests, waitlist submissions, and affiliate applications.

  • Monitor site performance, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
  • Improve source discovery, lead qualification, enrichment, categorization, search relevance, market readiness, and product quality.
  • Send service notices, account messages, receipts, product updates, and marketing messages where permitted.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights, terms, purchase rules, and security controls.

Cookies, affiliate links, and location features

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember site preferences, protect the site, measure usage, support checkout, and track affiliate referrals. PermitPub affiliate links currently use a 30-day referral window.

If you click a feature such as "Use my location," your browser may ask whether you want to share location. You can deny that request. We do not need your precise location to provide lead inventory, and we do not ask for it automatically on page load. When location is available, we use it to suggest nearby public markets and keep paid lead details locked.

How we share information

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate PermitPub, including:

  • hosting, database, email, security, caching, and performance providers;
  • payment processors such as Stripe;
  • mapping, geocoding, and location-related providers used for member maps or market suggestions;
  • AI, search, enrichment, and automation providers used to interpret public-record data or user search prompts;
  • analytics, error monitoring, fraud prevention, and customer support tools;
  • professional advisors, contractors, and vendors who need access to help run the service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect PermitPub and its users, to enforce agreements, or as part of a merger, sale, financing, or transfer of business assets. We do not sell full payment card numbers because we do not store them.

Your choices

  • You can update or correct account information by signing in or contacting us.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or limit use of personal information where the law gives you that right.
  • You can opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some account or checkout features may stop working.
  • You can deny browser location permission and still use PermitPub.
  • You should avoid entering sensitive personal information into PermitPub AI prompts or public forms.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may give you rights to request access, deletion, correction, or information about certain uses and disclosures of personal information, subject to exceptions. To make a request, contact us at support@toprankcommerce.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Retention and security

We keep information as long as needed to operate PermitPub, maintain accounts, deliver purchases, support customers, track affiliate commissions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, satisfy legal or accounting obligations, and improve the service. Lead inventory may be refreshed or purged on a rolling basis, but billing, support, security, and affiliate records may be retained longer.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No website or database can be promised as perfectly secure, so please use strong passwords and tell us quickly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children

PermitPub is built for business users and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PermitPub grows. If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
